These private lessons were followed a short time later by lessons at the music schools of Bergen op Zoom and Borgerhout (Antwerp). He completed the latter music school in 1990 by obtaining two Medals from the Flemish Community, the so-called Government Medals, for both percussion and chamber music.

			He now spends most of his time on full-time work in a completely different sector, in which he also feels very much at home. However, he still finds the time to teach drums at home, to provide musical direction to the percussion department of the De Scheldezonen music association from Hoogerheide and, as time permits, he composes percussion compositions for [[Dutch Music Partners]] and [[Da Capo Music]].
