	Lothar Klein was a composer obsessed with music history. Since the 60’s, modern music has been a polemical battle between avant-garde and conservative positions with musical worth defined by historical “newness”. Lothar Klein’s style cannot be pinned down to either position for he often played both sides of the equation placing himself as a composer of the radical center.
