	Henk Mennens affinity with percussion music arose from the age of 6. Coming from the drum band and HAFA world, Henk Mennens ended up in classical music. Later his interests also went out to pop and jazz music. In all those years Henk Mennens have not come across a method that meets a gradual study program, for beginning to advanced percussionists. During and after ~~my studies~~ at the conservatory in Tilburj and Maastricht, Henk Mennens taught at various music schools in the Netherlands and Germany. The methods used consisted of numerous books, from which only a few elements were usable. From this perspective, Henk Mennens came up with the idea of writing a method by himself. 			Theory, reading exercises, studies and lectures can be treated at the same time because the form, rhythm and dynamics of the different exercises are the same in each book. In the snare drum, mallet and timpani book, rolls or trills have been added.
