			SKY BLOSSOMS (1998) for flute and one percussion by Howard J. Buss is a dramatic “tour de force” during which both performers are responsible for reciting the text during performance. Mystical and lyrical sections contrast with intense and explosive passages. The instrumentation includes vibes, bells, roto toms, bass drum, tambourine, cowbell, cymbals, wind chimes, bell tree, tam-tam, temple blocks, maracas and a lion roar.
