== Program Notes ==
Commissioned by Akira Robles and Birdville High School for their Showcase Concert at the 2024 Percussive Arts Society International Convention, The Hidden Kingdom creates a melodic and tonal world inspired by the journey of exploration and discovery found in video games like the Legend of Zelda series. Through intricate textures and sweeping harmonic progressions, the piece evokes a sense of adventure and mystery, guiding listeners through a musical landscape that mirrors the beauty and dangers of these fantastical worlds.
