			In the "Trommel Suite" (Zimmermann), Fink was the first composer to make use of 17 different sound shapes this instrument is capable of, and he put these in a highly satisfying musical environment, including through-composed as well as aleatoric parts and playing demands. There are five songs in this “Snare drum suite” and using different sticks, so this piece is one of the most often played contest solos for snare drum. Intrada is the first song of the suite. In this song, the player need to keep changing the playing areas of the snare drum (edge—about 1inch off rim, interval—about 2.5 inch off rim and centre)<br/>

			The second song, toccata, starts with rapid change of dynamics. After that there is a little cadenz starting with a slow speed and gradually getting faster and faster till the end of the cadenz. In the cadenz, the player need to change to tom tom sticks and off snare while playing. After the cadenz, the song change back to the original tempo. The player need to change back to two snare drum sticks and on snare before the end.<br/>

			At the beginning of the mista, player needs to play with a snare durm stick and a brush. After that, the player needs to change to two snare drum sticks playing the faster section and the ending is a slower section.<br/>
			After the mista, there is cadenza. The composer stated that, all the rhythmic patterns in the cadenza are from the other movements. The solist can decides on the tempo, combination and repetition of the pattern, dynamics and tone colours himself through his choice of drumsticks, the place of the drum he/she beats and the tension of the snares.<br/>

	~~=== Review ===~~		Marcia is the final song of the suite. It is the shortest song among the suite but it is not the fastest one. The player doesn’t need to change his/her sticks and on/off snares. The player needs to keep changing the playing zone and using some special effects (stick cross rim, accents and stronger accents) in this song.<br/>
