Jay W. Gilbert (born 2 February 1956) is Director of Bands and Chair of the Music Department at Doane College in Crete, Nebraska. He conducts the concert band and oversees all aspects of the instrumental music education program. He holds degrees in music education from the University of Wisconsin in Madison and Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, where he studied with John P. Paynter.
