Description

Batterie begins to address accessory percussion instruments. What better way to teach your students how to play the accessories than to have a piece that focuses primarily on this instruments. Young players may not consider them to be most glamorous in the percussion family, but as professionals, we certainly spend a lot of time playing them.

Educational Approach

Start from going over the basic techniques for each of the accessory instruments.
Be careful with some music terms: "subito" / "Grand Pause" / "laissez vibrer" / "choke" / "secco".
