Etymology and Alternative Spellings
Construction
The Rocktagon Cymbal is an excellent effects cymbal that boasts an unusual design. It takes inspiration from its 80's predecessor, retaining its iconic 8-sided shape, but adds modern twists that set it apart.
This cymbal is a thin crash weight with a raw, un-hammered bell, featuring pinpoint lathing that creates a distinctive sound. The 8-sided shape produces an immediate, harsh crash sound with a quick decay, while the thicker raw bell provides strength and clarity for powerful bell accents.
