Description

Digging Deeper was created to provide a multi-level, balanced percussion approach to the percussion class exercise curriculum, featuring three levels for each technical element and the ability to work on pads, keyboard percussion, or both. The multi-level design of this book allows for students to progress laterally through the collection of exercises, then “dig deeper” into each exercise with a second and third pass through successive levels. All three levels of any exercise—surface, shallow, and deep—are written to work seamlessly together in rehearsal, allowing groups of students within a percussion class to be operating on up to three tiers simultaneously. Any pairing of pad and keyboard exercises that share the same time signature and tempo may be rehearsed together.
