There Will Be Stars (2011) is a setting of four poems by the American poet Sara Teasdale (1884–1933). Stars seem to have been among Teasdale’s favorite images, as they can be found in a remarkably large number of her poems.
Journey Song is music of awakening and travel. There Will Be Stars is a lush and lyrical treatment of this comforting and tender poem. The Falling Star is dance-like, exploring the capricious and fleeting nature of the falling star. To Arcturus Returning is vigorous, filled with enthusiasm and zest for the return of spring.
