Description

Riding the Waves on a Drum is written for 12 percussion players and includes 5 mallet percussion parts. The piece is a great exercise in ensemble playing for younger groups as the mallet parts share the melody and each part is of equal importance while the other percussion parts work together to provide a strong, steady rhythm. For more experienced groups, this piece provides a great addition to any concert and may not require as much rehearsal time as more difficult pieces. The catchy melody and solid beat make this piece fun for the performers and very audience friendly."
