Gabriel Bouchet followed his musical studies at the Mulhouse Conservatory where he obtained the first prize for Piano, harmony and music theory.

Percussion soloist of the Orchester de la Radio de Strasbourg then of the Orchester Philharmonique de Strasbourg, he is part of the generation of precursors of contemporary French and European percussion.

A member of the Percussions de Strasbourg from 1963 to 1988, he is co-author of the “Percustra” course, director of the Percussions School in Strasbourg and percussion teacher at the National School of Music in Mulhouse.

A member of national and international juries, Gabriel Bouchet has in recent years directed contemporary music ensembles and composed for percussion and cinema.[1]
