Program Notes

I wanted to put this piece for violin and vibraphone in relation with the work of Antoine Bourdelle and I was inspired by the high relief located above the doors of the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, The dance , representing face to face Nijinsky and Isadora Duncan. I thus tried to highlight the idea of this united duo in a dance characterized by energy and movement. It is these very elements which are at the base of this piece in one piece, the violin and the vibraphone being closely united in the same speech, just like Nijinsky and Isadora Duncan.
