David T. Childs received degrees from Houghton College and George Peabody College, including a Ph.D. in organ and church music. He also received a Master of Divinity degree from Vanderbilt Divinity School in Nashville, Tennessee. David served as Associate Professor of Music and Chair of the Musicology and Composition department at Wichita State University in Wichita, Kansas, and as Professor of Music & Chair at Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota. His compositions have been published by Abingdon Press, Church Hymnal Corporation, Mark Foster, C. Alan Publications, and the Neil A. Kjos Music Company. He currently lives in Kechi, Kansas, where he is an active organist and choirmaster.
