Program Notes

"~ Fantasy for Marimba" is 2007 years has been commissioned by the composer, internationally renowned marimba player, Mr. Fumito Nunotani. The original song is composed for Marimba and Wind Orchestra, premiered the same year 9 Mon 23 Sun, in Odate, Akita Prefecture, is performed by the band's solo joint Nunotani, commander raw Hiroshi Saito, the Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble Odate Odate underneath.

This work is written in the style of the concerto, just beyond the piano accompaniment of marimba solo instruments, progress in both the marimba music to evolve.

Consists of the following four movements, each song is played without a break.

Allegro: first movement After an introduction by the piano, two single subject are presented.

Andante mystery Orthopaedics: 2nd movement Tempo is slowly turned around, I will be a fantastic melodic subject.

Tempo rubato: 3rd movement To expand the melodic subject of wind by Marimba solo cadenza.

Enerujiko Allegro: 4th Movement Presented again two subjects of the first movement is the variant, while welcoming the development finale.
