Program Notes

Fred No Frevo by Ney Rosauro gets its name from the Frevo carnival music found in Northeastern Brazil. This happy marimba quartet (with optional percussion) is a lighthearted street march for intermediate students. Although this piece was written for four marimbas, other keyboard instruments like a xylophone or vibraphone may be substituted. Add this piece to your concert for a little bit of Brazilian fun.
