Program Notes

Originally for glockenspiel & vibraphone found in Daughtrey's collection of duets for young percussionists, Duology, Sea of Tranquility has been expanded for full percussion ensemble for C. Alan's IGNITE SERIES. Much like the area of the same name found on the moon, this piece seeks to create an air of mystery and wonder. It requires delicate playing from all performers. It may be played by as few as 5 players or expanded to 9 or more by adding the optional parts and/or doubling some parts.
