Frank Siekmann is founder, owner, and principal writer for Brelmat Music (named after his three children, Bruce, Ellen and Matthew). He began writing for his musical groups when he started his teaching career and has continued ever since.

A graduate in Music Education from New York York University and Columbia University (where he received his Ed.D.), Dr. Siekmann has been been published by eight companies with a total of thirty-six compositions/arrangements. Several have been or are on state and national lists; they range from pieces for elementary through high school band, orchestra and chorus.

His teaching career of forty-one years included fifteen in public schools of Delaware, New Jersey and New York, a one-year year replacement position as Director of Bands at The University of Vermont and twenty-four and a half years as Professor of Music at Kutztown University, Kutztown, PA. During much of that time he also logged a total of thirty years as a church choir director and is Choir Director Emeritus at St. John’s United Church of Christ, Kutztown. He is a multi-instrumentalist and performs regularly on trumpet, piano, accordion and vibraphone.[1]
