Description
Sinfoniëtta deel 1 is originally a 3-movement work, composed for the percussion ensemble Wilhelmina from Bedum. The first part shows a lot of different character of the ensemble. After a grand opening, the vibraphone plays a solo role. Then the tutti ensemble continues in a faster 7/8 passage that ends in a 6/8 cadence. Glockenspiel and vibraphone are given space for a beautiful melody. The piece ends again in the fast 7/8 time signature.
