Program Notes

Review

The Circus is a solo for xylophone piano which is a quick gallop in G major. The suggested tempo is vivace with a quartet note at 160mm and iflierformed at tempo will last less than a minute. Most of the rhythmic content consists of eighth notes with occasional quarter note trills The work is quite tonal with a few chromatic alteration. The print is quite clear and is just one page in length. This is a good training piece and could also be used as an encore for a longer recital. - George Frock[1]
