Jamie Wind Whitmarsh is an active composer, percussionist, and conductor presently located in Tallahassee, Florida. He is Music Director for the Tallahassee Composer's Orchestra, and performs with chamber ensembles Duo Rodinia and What Is Noise. Jamie holds Bachelor's degrees in Percussion Performance and Music Composition from Oklahoma City University and is finishing a Master's degree in Music Composition from Florida State University.

While at OCU Jamie was president of Project 21, worked with local high schools in several different capacities, co-founded the Carl Albert High School Composition Competition and formed the OCU Steel Drum Band. Jamie typically spends his summers teaching at the OCU Performing Arts Academy, teaching theory/aural skills, and the OCU Percussion Camp and the Piedmont Percussion Project Summer Camps. He also works as a wind/percussion arranger with various marching bands.
