Program Notes
"Log Cabin Blues" was written by George Hamilton Green for a solo xylophone and accompanying piano in 1924. It has now been arranged by Bob Becker for a mallet ensemble (initially arranged for the percussion group Nexus). This blues-y arrangement is for one solo xylophone and four accompanying marimbas and is fun for audiences as well as performers.
