Program Notes

This collection contains six vibe solos (easy to moderate level) which utilize rich harmonies and melodies reminiscent of Bill Evan's jazz-styled introspective piano playing. The jazz flavored progressions are easily accessible with occasional unexpected twists and nicely crafted inner moving lines. The compositions are notated in very neat, easily readable hand manuscript with a wide spacial layout. The pieces are written on two sheet manuscript and are not bound in the book. All of the compositions are complete in themselves and would be excellent vehicles for improvisation. This collection certainly would be worthwhile for anyone interested in playing some beautifully crafted jazztinged compositions. - Ed Saindon, February, 1982[1]
