Program Notes

Crash Course by James Campbell is a cleverly named cymbal ensemble piece for 8 players. The piece invites choreography and is dripping with theatrics that were heavily inspired by the composer after he saw performing percussion group Stomp. This piece requires 8 players with crash cymbals and comes with a notation guide to provide an explanation of cymbal articulations and sounds seen through out the short piece. This would be a great way to hype up a crowd or audience!
