Review

If any narrative could be given to Lift Up My Hands To You, it could be one of a primitive percussive rite or of surrender to a darker side of humanity. Descriptive direction such as violently, agitato, and chaotic permeate the score to illustrate this intent to the performers, and in turn the audience. As they experience the piece unfolding, the audience may even question whether the players (and their instruments) will survive the performance! [1]
