Description

Gustav Holst's The Planets is a masterful tone poem composed a century ago, and today is a favorite among musicians and audiences alike. Scott Weatherson has arranged four of the movements into two volumes for a large percussion ensemble. This volume contains two movements from The Planets: the flittering, spritely Mercury, the Winged Messenger and the joyful, regal Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity. Allow your percussion orchestra to play one of the greatest pieces of music ever written. All players only need to play with two mallets.
