Program Notes

This duet for glockenspiel and piano, is dedicated to Tele Lesbines, former principal percussionist and timpanist in the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra in southeastern Wisconsin. He had given a recital there with his daughter who was a master at piano, and guided me in its composition. It is rather Asian oriented in philosophy, although definitely western in style. This is true of most of my music composition, for I am influenced greatly by music of the middle ages in Europe, and eastern Asia through the centuries. I translate these ideas to percussion works.
