Review
The DUO SONATINA is a three movement work which is scored for snare drum and tom-tom. The composer states, however, that any two drums of differentiated pitch may be used. The rhythmic patterns are not complicated but a careful balance between the two parts must be maintained. A good performance of this work would demand a great deal of musical skill. Traditional notation is used and the printing is excellent. Two parts each in score form are provided. This work is of medium difficulty and would be quite suitable for solo and ensemble contests at the high school level. - Donald Gilbert[1]
