Program Notes

Review

This is s a collection of duets in which each player performs on two different but similar unpitched instruments. The six duets vary in style and tempo. The parts are of equal difficulty in both technical demand and expression. 'Me interplay between the two parts is often quite intricate and requires a mature sense of rhythmic accuracy and musicianshipThe print is very small but is dearly legible. The editor has taken great care to present each movement in a manner that avoids page turns. An example of this is printing page 5 before page 4, although the page turn could have been avoided by starting the duet on page 4 This collection not only has educational value but is also worthy for performance in studio or class recitals. Strongly recommended.[1]
